New Publication: The Planning Series – 17 – Consenting energy generation infrastructure

This briefing provides a guide to energy consenting in Wales. It describes the current consenting regimes, and how they will be changed by the Wales Act 2017. It explains decision-making processes in Wales, from local planning authority decisions, to Welsh Government Developments of National Significance (DNS). It also describes UK-level processes in relation to Welsh projects including UK Government Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and those considered by the UK Marine Management Organisation.
