New Publication: Public Health (Wales) Act 2017

The Public Health (Wales) Act received Royal Assent on 3 July 2017. The Act sets out provisions in a number of priority areas of public health policy, including obesity, smoking, ‘special procedures’ (such as body piercing, tattooing), pharmaceutical services, and toilets for public use. This paper provides summary information about the different parts of the Act, the background to the legislation and its passage through the Assembly.
